DJ Max Portable 2 contains new songs, new difficulties, new modes, as well as a few original soundtracks from DJ Max Portable. A 5-button mode has been included along with a Fever mode and a Easy mode. DJ Max Portable 2 can be linked with the first game's songs using new play systems and more unlockable O.S.T. tracks for the Korean, Japanese and English versions. Remote control support—use DJ Max Portable 2's Soundtrack Mode has also been included. Customizable control configurations has also been included in .DJ Max Portable 2. Multiplayer is available using PSP's Ad-hoc connection.
